Our last graduating senior, and board member along with Leena, is Sorali!
Degree: BS in Zoology (minors in Dance and Plant Biology)
Message from Sorali “I remember spring semester of sophomore year, I was in my dorm room of Bragaw practicing the audition piece. I told my roommate "Do you like the dab at the end? I'm gonna dab until they let me on the team". Next day at auditions, I did the taught piece with some messups. I moved on, did my solo piece, and was given an option for a redo on the taught audition choreo. I did it again, not perfect but good enough, and remembered to give it a strong dab at the end. As you can see my plan worked. I'm so grateful I could call JCC my family. Even though my time was cut short, every minute spent with y'all helped me grow as a dancer and as a person. I just wanna say how proud I am that we got to go to a Prelude, DMV nonetheless, while I was on the team. Just Cuz Crew gave me room to express myself freely, take initiative as a choreographer, and gave me a routine (ba dum tss) for my college experience. I'll miss speedwalking (yall know I'm not allowed to run) around the gym looking for open space, practicing in wolf plaza, but especially my people 💚 always in my heart. May I never forget ‘why do we dance?’”
And exiting in true sorali fashion, she leaves with a Dab! We’ll miss you and hope her future is bigger than her vine references!

Our next grad and , SIVA!Degree: Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Materials and Technology with minors in Environmental Science and Business Entrepreneurship.
Future plans: I will be working at AFRY Management Consulting as an Analyst.
Quote from Siva, “Although my time on the team was quite short, I will definitely cherish spending time laughing and having fun with everyone during practices and being able to do something waaaaaay out of my comfort zone with my friends!”
Shoutout to Siva for not only bringing energy to every practice with her “bruh” comments but also for stepping up and performing with JKP less than a month of being on the team! We’ll miss her but know she’ll do great in this next chapter of her life!

In lieu of Spring ‘20 ending and the summer starting we’re bringing back our again!
Starting off with our graduating seniors, first up is Leena!
Degree: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
“It's surreal that four years have come to a close. I'm a bit upset that my time with my JCC family has been cut short. Though, I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the team. Looking back, I am so proud of my freshie timid self who dragged her feet to auditions. Dancing, dancing in front of others, and learning choreo at auditions- ALL FIRSTS! I took a chance at a dream, and I've grown so much :) I developed confidence, hilariously bonded with my team, and discovered an amazing dance community in and out of state. So, my takeaway for you: take a chance at that thing you've wanted to try. Even if you miss the target, you've landed farther from your comfort zone. And that alone, is growth that you should be proud of”
We’re gonna miss her CRAZY good choreos and mixes, but look forward to what she’ll do in the future, congrats Leena!
