Earth Day fun with Mrs. Shannon 🌎💚♻️

We got our hands a little dirty and our imaginations going! We read about God creating the world, planted some tiny plants, and turned recycled materials into the coolest little creations.

Such a beautiful day filled with sunshine, creativity, and learning how to love and take care of our Earth!

The Chameleons, Bees, and Fish had the sweetest day celebrating Easter with their families! From festive crafting and fun snacks to lots of smiles and laughter, it was a day full of joy. The Easter egg hunts were the icing on the cake! 🐰🥚🐣

We loved having our families join us for Spring Bingo, creating the cutest bunny crafts, enjoying yummy treats, and wrapping it all up with an exciting Easter egg hunt!

A huge thank you to Margaret and Rob for sharing their love of Irish music with us! The kids had an absolute blast listening, clapping, and dancing along to the amazing songs and instruments. 🍀🎶

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day at Connections Preschool with festive green parties, creative leprechaun traps, and even mysterious green toilets…

The leprechauns may have caused a little mischief, but the smiles, laughter, and excitement were pure gold 🌈

Hats, silly socks, wacky outfits, big dreams, and Green Eggs & Ham… just another fun Dr. Seuss Week! 📚🎉

We had a ROAR-some day at preschool! 🦖🌿

A big thank you to Raleigh Parks & Rec for coming out and leading an amazing nature program with us! The kids had the best time digging into all things dinosaurs and fossils, learning how they’re discovered, and even getting a glimpse into what it’s like to be a real paleontologist.

We have had the BEST time “traveling” to Italy this month!

We explored Italian culture, learned all about the Olympics, and even got to be little chefs while making our own pizza (which was a HUGE hit! 🍕). From hands-on fun to lots of giggles and learning, it has been such a joyful adventure!!

Next stop… Ireland 🇮🇪

Please help me welcome Avery to our preschool family! Avery will be meeting with the children on Mondays, where she’ll be teaching chapel, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her with us!

Here’s a little more about Avery:

Avery is a graduate of Campbell University, where she earned a dual degree in Elementary Education (K–6) and Theatre Education (K–12). She is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Campbell University.

She is deeply passionate about children’s ministry and loves helping children grow in their faith in fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate ways. Avery has four years of daycare experience and most recently taught 1st grade dual immersion at Coats Elementary School.

Having grown up in church, Avery’s faith is a very important part of who she is. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, she loves Wake Forest, musical theatre, Disney, and traveling.

In her free time, Avery enjoys playing basketball and finding creative ways to connect with children through movement, music, and storytelling. She is so excited to worship, sing, and learn alongside our preschoolers and to help create a chapel experience where every child feels loved, accepted, and welcome.
