The 2026 ME Senior Design Symposium was a success!
students have spent the past year working with sponsors to hone their skills and learn about how a project will unfold in the field. Over three days, each group has presented their project and demonstrated what they have learned.

is happy to name the Basil Hassan Lab after one of our distinguished alumni, as the Hassan family has been a long-time ally to the department. The lab is on our MAE West campus, where faculty and students will continue to cultivate innovation in high-speed aircraft research.

has a new bootcamp called METAL, or Metallurgical Engineering Trades Apprenticeships & Learning.
The program offers hands-on experience in metal casting, forging and advanced metals manufacturing.
The next workshop is scheduled for May 12-15 and is open to the public.
