Explorer Post 5 is a career education program focusing on broadcast journalism, hosted by WRAL-TV in Raleigh, NC.

Chartered in 1969, Post 5 was the first Explorer Post with a communications focus, and the second-oldest Post in the nation.

We'll be hosting an open house next week for the 2022/23 season. We're returning to on site meetings this year in a new location. Feel free to fill out the interest form on the WRAL site for more information.

Teens can join Explorer Post 5 WRAL Explorer Post 5 offers members the opportunity to learn all aspects of television broadcasting, from reporting and anchoring to producing newscasts and shooting local productions.
