September is here and Dance Floor Fundamentals is BACK!

And I want to make something clear:

I’m not looking for easier line dances to teach you. I’m teaching you how to become a better line dancer.

There’s a difference.

We’re breaking down the things that show up over and over again—steps, turns, walls, direction, timing, rhythm—and then we’re applying those fundamentals to REAL line dances.

Some will challenge you. GOOD. 😂

Because once you understand the basics, you can start looking at a dance that used to intimidate you and think, Wait…I know that step. I understand that turn. I can learn this.

And you can.

We’re also bringing back dances from August to review and adding NEW ones, because repetition is how we get better.

September starts THIS THURSDAY!

Small class. Personal instruction. Ask your questions. Bring a friend or coworker and learn together.

That's exactly why I created Dance Floor Fundamentals.

Every Thursday in August, we're going back to the basics—not because basic is boring, but because fundamentals build confident dancers.

We'll work on things like timing, turns, direction, and learning how to pick up dances faster. Then we'll immediately put those skills into practice with line dances that reinforce what you just learned.

This isn't a huge class where you're trying to keep up with everyone else.

It's a small class.

Questions are encouraged.

Instruction is personal.

And my goal is simple...

I want you to leave every Thursday feeling more confident than when you walked in.

🚨 TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT! 🚨

Can I tell you a secret? 😂

There are a whole lot of us who quietly step BACK from the dance floor when a certain line dance comes on…

Not because we don’t want to dance…

But because we kept saying, “I’m gonna learn that one.”

Then another dance came out.

And another.

And another.

Now it feels like everybody knows the dances except us. 😩

Well…not anymore.

That’s exactly why I created this month’s theme: Nice & Easy.

All month long, we’re learning those line dances you always meant to learn…the ones everybody THINKS you should know by now. And just when you think you’ve got the old version down, I’m going to show you how they’ve been remixed and updated so you’re ready for the next cookout, family reunion, wedding, festival, or night out.

Most importantly…

We’re going to LAUGH.

We’re going to dance.

We’re going to have a good time.

I’ve even got some old friends coming tonight, and I can’t wait to see everybody back on the dance floor together!

Sis… let’s be honest for a second.
If you haven’t joined the Dance N2 Shape Virtual Fitness Center yet, it’s probably NOT because you don’t want it.

Fam! I couldn't have said this better myself ... so I decided to share The Marsh Method 's words this morning. Check out his post below. Two words jumped off the screen at me ... CONNECTION & COMMUNITY. The fact that he found those two things through DANCE warms my soul.
