Researchers are conducting a variety of studies that are focused on understanding cognitive functioning-broadly defined-throughout the adult lifespan.

The goals of this research in our lab are to chart normative changes in such functioning associated with aging and to identify the bases for such changes. In our research, we adopt a lifespan perspective and view adult development and aging as multifaceted and multidirectional. Researchers at NC State University are looking for adults aged 60+ who are concerned about their memory OR have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementias to serve as paid participants in a research project funded by the National Institutes of Health. The project is focused on identifying factors associated with maintained functioning and well-being.
