What’s the difference between vintage, antique, and retro?
Here’s the quick guide every collector should know:
✨ Antique — 100+ years old.
Think heirloom pieces with history, craftsmanship, and true heritage.
✨ Vintage — 20–99 years old.
Timeless design, character, and patina that tells a story.
✨ Retro — Newly made but inspired by past decades.
Modern pieces with a nostalgic vibe.
Knowing the difference helps you shop smarter, style better, and appreciate each piece for what it truly is.

How to uninvite someone to you wedding
Uninviting someone from your wedding is never easy, but sometimes it becomes necessary. Whether due to a change in guest count, financial constraints, or personal conflicts, it’s important to handle the situation with grace and respect. Assess your "why". Is it logistical, such as venue capacity or budget? Or is it personal, such as a falling out or behavior that no longer aligns with your values? Be honest with yourself before reaching out.
Once you’ve made your decision, act quickly. The longer you wait, the more difficult the conversation becomes. Reach out to the person directly. A phone call is best, as it allows you to express sincerity and avoid misinterpretation. Texts or emails may seem impersonal and can lead to confusion or hurt feelings.
Use kind, clear language. You might say, “We’ve had to make some very difficult decisions about our guest list, and unfortunately, we’re unable to extend the invitation as originally planned.” If the issue is personal, it’s best to remain calm and avoid rehashing past arguments. Simply explain that based on recent circumstances, the decision was necessary for the well-being of your day.
Offer understanding. Give the person space to process their emotions and respond. They may be hurt or confused, and that’s okay. Acknowledge their feelings without becoming defensive.
Lastly, accept the possibility that this choice may change your relationship. While it’s unfortunate, your wedding day should reflect love, joy, and peace. Surround yourself with those who uplift that energy.
Be kind, be firm, and remember that protecting your peace is not unkind—it’s essential.
