What a night at TRS!
Thank you to our new families and current families who joined us for our New to TRS or a Division event last night. We loved welcoming back our Class of 2019 alumni and their families! Each year, we invite our graduating seniors to return to campus, a meaningful Raleigh School tradition. From shared memories to new milestones ahead, it was a joy to see students and parents reconnect and be reminded that our community is always home.

The Ocean Adventures field trip is a special tradition our second graders look forward to each year, their very first overnight trip to the NC coast. After diving into their ocean unit, researching marine animals, and exploring concepts like buoyancy, children bring their learning to life through hands-on experiences.
From fishing and visiting the aquarium to exploring the sound and discovering ocean life up close, it’s a fun and meaningful adventure. Even more special, each child is joined by a parent, making it a memorable bonding experience along the way!

Clay is always a favorite in our preschool classrooms! Preschoolers love poking, shaping, and adding loose parts as their ideas take shape. Along the way, they practice sharing materials, problem-solving, and collaborating with friends.
One of our first grade classes couldn’t stop wondering about Olympic sports, so they turned their questions into a full Project-Based Learning unit. They researched different sports, uncovered cool facts, and got hands-on showing off moves themselves. 🏒⛸️🥌
They even visited the Lenovo Center to see how ice is kept perfect for skating, hockey, and curling — connecting their learning to the real world. Along the way, they watched clips, explored how equipment affects play, and brainstormed ways to share all their discoveries.

Today our children helped us celebrate a new fundraising milestone — $240,000 raised for the Fund for TRS!
That called for a serious celebration, which meant an all-school DANCE PARTY! There was music, laughter, and some very enthusiastic dancing — disco balls included. 🪩
A special thank-you to our Director of Philanthropy, Philanthropy Associate, and the Fund for TRS Committee for their hard work in helping us reach this milestone. We truly couldn’t have done it without your support — our incredible TRS community made this possible!
