Breaking Silence & Building Sisterhood.

Three incredible speakers. One powerful documentary. Countless “amen” moments and belly laughs. This is what Sisterhood in Transition: The [M] Factor Experience was all about! The conversations we had were EXACTLY what our community needed.

After watching “The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause,” @themfactorfilm three powerful speakers brought their expertise and hearts to the table - helping us navigate perimenopause, menopause, and the mental health component of midlife transitions:

🪷 Trisha Pitter, MS | UCONN Health Disparities Institute Centering health equity and disparity data in the menopause conversation @uconnhdi

🪷 Nicole Wallace, LCMHC-QS, NCC, CCMHC Providing mental health expertise and compassionate guidance for midlife transitions @transformcc10

🪷 Melani Sanders | Founder, ‘We Do Not Care Club’ (7M+ Social Media Followers, NYT Bestselling Author, People Creator of The Year) Proving that humor, community, and healing are the antidotes to silence and shame @justbeingmelani

The magic of this night? Sisters felt SEEN. We laughed. We learned. We realized we’re not alone in this journey. That’s the power of honest conversations and community support. Knowing you’re not alone in this journey? That matters most of all. 💕

Thank you to our brilliant speakers for their expertise and authenticity - plus every sister who showed up ready to be oh-so-vulnerable, learn, connect, and support one another.

Learn about the Menopause Equity Initiative and how to get involved by reaching out to Trisha Pitter (tpitter@uchc.edu).

The conversation doesn’t end here—it continues in our communities, our homes, and our hearts. 🪷Menopause is part of our story and it deserves to be told with honesty, grace, and sisterhood.

Mood shifts. Brain fog. Sleep changes. Hot flashes. Identity shifts. Body changes. Questions no one prepared us for because Mamas, Aunties and them wouldn’t talk about it.

We’re changing that.

No shame. No pretending. No “just push through it or just deal with it.”

Join us for an honest, grounded conversation about perimenopause and beyond with Nicole W. and Tasha Bee as we talk about what this transition can actually look and feel like mentally, emotionally, physically, and relationally.

Just real convo’s, community, laughter, education, and space to be seen.

Because blooming doesn’t stop. It happens at every age.
