Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the design itself. It’s knowing where to begin. Especially when your client hands you 47 pins, half of which directly contradict each other.
During busy season, you don’t always have the luxury of sitting with it until it clicks. And if you’ve been putting it off because you don’t even know where to start, it can stall your whole week.
The Design Toolkit inside our template shop gives you a process to follow so you’re not starting from scratch every single time.
→ Design workflow
→ Budget guides
→ Client conversation starters to decode the pins
→ Editable design board + more

You’re already doing the hard work.
You’re showing up, executing, and delivering for your clients every weekend. But if you’re walking out of those weddings without being intentional about the room you just worked, you’re leaving future business behind without even knowing it.
The planners who grow through referrals aren’t doing more. They’re doing a few specific things better.
We just wrapped a mini masterclass on exactly this inside The Vault. If you’re not a member yet, this is your sign. Link in bio. 🔗

National Small Business Day hits different when you’re in this industry.
Because you’re not just running a business. You’re managing emotions, logistics, relationships, and expectations, often all at once, often on days when you have nothing left to give.
And most of the time, no one sees that part.
Today I want to make it a little easier to invest in yourself. You’ve poured into everyone else. Let today be the day you pour into yourself.
Two ways to do that right now:
🤍 Use code SMALLBIZ20 for 20% off anything in the template shop — link in bio to shop.
🤍 I’ve opened up a few more spots for 1:1 coaching — if you’re ready, link in bio to learn more.

The thing about owning a business is that most of the people in your life genuinely love you and still can’t fully meet you there.
Not because they don’t care.
Because they haven’t lived it.
A big part of why I do 1:1 coaching is because I want to be the person in your corner who actually gets it. Not just the strategy side, but the weight of it. The decisions no one else sees. The version of you that shows up on hard days and holds the whole thing together anyway.
If you’ve been feeling like you’re carrying more than you should be that’s worth paying attention to.

I have a limited number of spots and would love for one of them to be yours.
Drop a 🖤 if this resonates.

There’s a specific kind of lonely that comes with running a wedding business.
Your family loves you. Your partner tries to understand. Your friends cheer you on.
But when you’re sitting with the real questions, the ones about whether to raise your prices, whether to keep pushing, whether to grow or scale back or just... stop, they don’t quite have the frame for it.
And your vendor friends? The ones who do get the industry? There’s often too much overlap, too much market proximity, to be fully honest with them either.
So you sit with it alone.
Turning it over at midnight. Googling answers that don’t quite fit. Waiting for clarity that doesn’t come because what you actually need isn’t more information.
You need someone who has been in it.
Someone who built a planning business, scaled it, sold it, and has sat at almost every stage you’re in or heading toward. Someone you can bring the real questions to … not the polished ones, the messy ones and walk away with actual clarity.
That’s what a coaching session with me looks like.
And in honor of National Small Business Day, I’m offering something special for planners who are ready to stop sitting with it alone.

Hear me out. When a client sends you a ‘just checking in’ email, most of us feel a little dread. But that email? It’s actually data.
It means they don’t know what’s happening. It means there’s no clear touchpoint they can anchor to. It means your process has a communication gap, and they filled it by bothering you.
The fix is not to respond faster. The fix is to build a process so solid they never feel the need to check in.
Your questionnaires, timelines, and client touchpoints do that work for you. The template shop has the tools to build it. Link in bio.

If wedding planners were mic’d up during busy season… this would be the audio. 🎤
Somewhere between calm professional, timeline enforcer, emotional support human, and silent internal chaos.
If you know… you know.
Tag a planner who has absolutely said at least 3 of these this month.
And if busy season has you in the trenches, come join us inside The Planner’s Vault… support, systems, templates, and people who get it. Link in bio.

If we said what we really wanted to say during consultations… whew.
But hidden inside the humor is something planners don’t talk about enough.
Consultations aren’t tough because you’re inexperienced.
They’re tough because couples today are overwhelmed, under-informed, and trying to make decisions before they even understand what they actually need.
And here’s how we know…
We went straight to the source.
We interviewed currently engaged couples who are actively choosing their vendors right now.
These aren’t retrospective opinions. These are real-time insights from people in the decision-making seat.
A strong consultation isn’t about impressing them.
It’s about helping them breathe, understand, and finally feel clear enough to choose.
If you want consults that feel lighter, clearer, and more in control,
save your seat for my free February masterclass.
I’m breaking down the exact shifts that turn an “excited inquiry” into a confident “yes.”
