Huge shoutout to Allegro Family Clinic and the Columbus, MS community!

Their recent community event brought together partners across multiple sectors, united by a shared purpose to end and prevent trafficking in all its forms. As part of this work, Allegro shared outcomes from the pilot of the Just In Time tool—offering a real‑world glimpse into what’s possible when data, collaboration, and action come together. Columbus is showing what can happen when a community truly comes together to prevent trafficking!

We had a great time visiting our partner Viiison in Boise and spending time planning what’s ahead. Conversations focused on how technology can help better empower and mobilize healthcare and other sectors to recognize and respond to human trafficking.

Partnerships like these are an important part of building stronger, more coordinated prevention and response efforts. We’re grateful for the collaboration and excited about what’s ahead!

A strong response starts with shared understanding.

Alabama has completed its Statewide Human Trafficking Assessment, establishing a data-informed foundation for coordinated, statewide action.

Led by the Office of the Alabama Attorney General alongside the Alabama Anti-Human Trafficking Alliance and The WellHouse, this Phase 1 work clarifies risk, resources, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration across sectors.

Human Trafficking Response Through a Public Health Lens 01/16/2026

“Public health is focused on disease and injury prevention, protection, and health promotion.”

That definition is the foundation of how Justice U approaches trafficking. Instead of only responding after harm occurs, a public‑health lens helps us focus on prevention, protection, and long‑term well‑being across entire communities.
