The 1st Virtual WESH FREE Parent Workshop was a resounding success. We would like to extend our gratitude to Kwan Graham, Director of Community Engagement at PEFNC, for collaborating with Where Eagles Soar High to disseminate information about the NC Opportunity Scholarship to the community.

We encourage everyone to thoroughly review the PowerPoint Presentation, which contains comprehensive resources detailing the scholarship, application process, including eligibility for children with disabilities and IEPs, and important deadlines.

2024/2025 With the help and support of ALL VETERANS GROUP and the Activate Cohort Team we delivered food from Second Harvest Food Bank, Fayetteville, NC to HCS weekend feeding program food storage facility and attended the WESH Sponsored - Rockfish Chamber of Commerce Backpack Buddies Certified Trusted Food Source Training Workshop

2025 Has been a PRODUCTIVE YEAR for WESH! Woohoo!! Where Eagles Soar High (WESH) is not just a business or an organization, it's a MOVEMENT! Iris Flowers is the President /Founder of WESH. The WESH motto is, "Helping Parents, Help Their Child Succeed!" and there are many ways to accomplish this goal as it's a HOLISTIC goal (spiritual, mental, physical, emotional and social). With that said, WESH Soars in every area of the Parent and Child's life. Wherever there's a need, WESH is there to be involved, make the necessary connections, assisting and helping Parents and Children SUCCEED!

From October 2024-May 2025 WESH had the honor of Leading a Beautiful group of women in a HCS Activate Cohort Grant Project. We worked as a Team and collaborated with Hoke County Schools to pick up food from the Second Harvest Food Bank in Fayetteville NC and we partnered with Rockfish Chamber Backpack Buddies Program to deliver the food to several Elementary Schools. We're proud to say that within three months (with the help of Hoke County Community Businesses and True Vine Church, Fayetteville, NC) we fed over 1,000 weekend meals. We also attended a Backpack Buddies Program Workshop (sponsored by Where Eagles Soar High) and became QUALIFIED to receive our Trusted Food Source Certification.

At the end of this project we attended a Graduation Ceremony and we presented a presentation of the research and community services we provided.

Grand Rising, Parents! ☀️

For those who were unable to attend the WESH FREE Parent Workshop for the ACADEMICALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY GIFTED (AIG) CHILD, your presence — and that of your child — was truly missed.

Our facilitator, Dr. Faydra Womble, HCS AIG Director, delivered a powerful and informative session. At her request, I am sharing the presentation from the WESH FREE Parent Workshop so that you can review the information at your convenience. As always, Dr. Womble brought clarity, enthusiasm, and genuine care, staying afterward to answer every question in the room thoroughly.

🌱 Why These Workshops Matter

My vision in independently creating this space is simple yet powerful: to give YOU (PARENTS) a seat at the table.

These workshops are intentionally designed to connect you directly with:
✅ Administrators
✅ Teachers
✅ Principals
✅ Public Officials / Politicians
✅ Decision-makers who create the policies, laws, and guidelines your child must follow

Through WESH FREE Parent Workshops, I am preparing the table for YOU to sit, speak, and be heard by the very people who have the power to change and amend policies in favor of your child.
