Plant spotlight goes to this beautiful pothos 🪴

When I got this plant it was just a leaf. I propagated for a few weeks and finally I saw some roots.

I almost killed it. I put it next to a window where the sun hits all day. They are not full sun plant. 😐

But I moved it and now it’s thriving beautifully 🤍

Here are some care facts that are helping me care for this pothos.

-partial shade or full shade
-I water it every week but sometimes it can go for 2 weeks.
- I’ve changed dirt every spring or if it’s roots are bigger than the planter.
- super sensitive to pest. So I make sure I spray my special spray on the soil every 3 weeks.

I have been such a bad “plant mom” this season 🙀

Honestly everything I planted in my garden, Seed wise. Has died....

My front porch plants have also died...

I mean it’s been super busy at work and when I get home I just want to sit in the couch and watch “friends”

Hope I’m not the only one 👀

Maybe this wasn’t my year. But it gives me an excuse to go to my favorite plant store and replace with new ones.

Reminiscing the time I sat down in St. Louis. Park.

We didn’t have a plan that day. We just decided to go with the flow that day. We went downtown and there it was this beautiful park.

Just sitting on the grass. Being surrounded by nature and quietness was what this momma needed. It’s the small things ya know 👍🏽

I was waken up too early! But that’s the life of having a toddler 🥳

Any-who I been procrastinating for a while to make this bottles for my own use. And I finally made them.

And also look at that plant 🤍 It was a gift from my sister on Mother’s Day and I haven’t killed it so yay 👍🏽

I used white vinyl that was $2.00

So total was $2.99 super easy and cheap way to make your house more fun I guess lol

How’s everyone?

I took some deserved time off and I’m glad we are back.

Work has been hectic. This week is the last day of school. So as a teacher I have to make sure everything is in place for summer and also next school year.

2 more days to go. Although I decided to work this summer. I’m excited for all summer activities and care for my garden.

I did replanted veggies and such because they all died with our cold front we had couple of weeks ago. Praying and hoping that they don’t die again this weekend since our temperature is going from 80 to 55 😞

Where are all my budget friendly plant moms|dads🙋🏽‍♀️

Well if you are or not, I have some tips that have help me save money and build my collection of plants.

TIP 1•
This one is easy and maybe silly. But know others that are “plant” moms and are willing to share their plants with you. My mom and my grandma always gift me plants that they have been growing and have extra babies. This has help me build my plant collection by a lot 🙀

TIP 2•
If you want to decorate your outdoor area. But sometimes it can get too expensive. Make your own. I always make my own . It’s easy and you can put any flower you want&& arrange them your way 🥳

Tip 3•
Know where to shop. I know you guys know by now I love to shop . Their plant selections are amazing. They have plants for everyone’s budget. I have bought indoor and outdoor plants that they are $3.00 or less. & The quality is great. 🤍

Tip 4•
This one is optional. “Garden beds ” well growing your own veggies can be a very gratifying feeling but it can also get very expensive. Again it all depends where you go to buy. I personally grow my own veggies at home.
A packet of seeds is $1.00
A bag of dirt depending the size is $8 or less
And I recycle egg cartons as my containers. Or I used left over containers from last years.
Yes is tedious work but it’s budget friendly.

Well here are some of the things I do to build my collection. It’s not for everyone but it has work for me 🤍

My husband (Freddie) gave me a budget (financial peace ) to spend that day.

People usually go for the big plants. I go for the small ones that will grow later on.

have great selections and I picked some pretty plants. I created my own hangers (check my stories)
