Well done to President Jerry Biggart and the entire Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin team for an outstanding Fire Ops 101 event yesterday.
Fire Ops 101 gives elected officials and community stakeholders a firsthand look at the realities firefighters face every day. From hands-on training evolutions to experiencing the physical and mental demands of the job, participants gained valuable insight into what it takes to serve and protect our communities.
Programs like this help bridge the gap between policymakers, community leaders, and the firefighters who answer the call 24 hours a day. Thank you to everyone who participated and to the PFFW for continuing to educate and advocate for Wisconsin’s fire service.
Special thanks to President Jerry Biggart and the entire Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin for making the event a success. 🚒🔥

From all of us at Racine Professional Fire Fighters Local 321, we thank the fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy every day.
May we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

⚠️ THIS DEVICE COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE… BUT ONLY IF IT STILL WORKS ⚠️
Most carbon monoxide alarms only last 5–7 years.
That alarm sitting quietly on your wall may already be expired and unable to detect dangerous carbon monoxide in your home.
Carbon monoxide is:
❌ Invisible
❌ Odorless
❌ Deadly
Take 2 minutes today to:
✔️ Check the manufacture date on your CO alarms
✔️ Replace old or expired units
✔️ Test your alarms and batteries
✔️ Make sure alarms are installed near sleeping areas
A working carbon monoxide alarm can mean the difference between life and death for your family.

🌊☀️ SUMMER WATER SAFETY STARTS NOW ☀️🌊
Today, members of the Racine Firefighters L-321 had the opportunity to train alongside the North Beach Lifeguards as they prepare for another busy summer season protecting our community.
One of the newest tools being utilized this year is the EMILY device — a remote-controlled flotation device capable of traveling up to 20 mph and reaching victims up to 1/4 mile away. This equipment allows someone in distress to stay afloat and hold on until rescuers can safely reach them.
North Beach Lifeguards officially begin staffing the beach on May 30th.
As temperatures rise and more families head to the water, please remember:
✅ Wear a life jacket
✅ Know your limits
✅ Never swim alone
✅ Keep an eye on children near the water
Racine Firefighters Local 321, along with community partners, also has life jackets available for loan from the life jacket boxes located along the beach to help keep everyone safe this summer.
Have fun. Stay safe. We’ll be here when you need us. 🚒
