Today we celebrate and remember the life and accomplishments of Rev Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As King once said, “the time is always right to do what is right.”

The time is right now to get active in the fight to equity! The time is now to join the BSU as we strive to dismantle structural inequalities at ENC, in Quincy, and beyond!

Today serves as a reminder that the fight to equity is a marathon, not a sprint. And we need your help!! The work does not end with just sharing quotes about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr today. Instead, the work continues for the next 364 days!

The BSU invites you to attend an upcoming workshop from Quincy4Justice on ‘Confronting White Supremacy Culture’. Flyer will be attached below! This is just a start to how you can continue the work that needs to be done, including in ourselves.

In two days we will welcome into office President Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris!
This is exciting and should be celebrated, but the work still continues even while they are in office.

The fight to equity continues until one day we can really say this quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with accuracy, joy, and fulfillment: "Free at Last! FREE AT LAST !! Thank God Almighty I am free at Last"

Well ENC we made it to November 4th! As they continue to count the votes how have you been coping? Have you noticed anything unsettling in this election time while on campus that rubes you the wrong way? Looking for away to vent about it?

Join us tonight in Canterbury Hall for another Story Circle. We will be there from 7pm-9pm. Everyone could use a safe space to share right about now, let us be yours 💜

The purpose of these Story Circles will be to have open dialogue and HEAR YOUR EXPERIENCES, the good, bad and ugly.
