I remember when this key was given to me. I had just re-dedicated my life to Christ about six months prior. I was a single mom who had just left the adult entertainment industry, and had decided to answer the call and say yes to Jesus.
I was getting cash assistance and food stamps from the government to survive. I had no job no money no help from family.
Just Jesus!
My pastor sister allowed me and my daughter to have her room while I was getting on my feet. I spent time praying, searching the Scriptures and serving in my local church. I used my gifts and talents for God, and then I started to understand the power of making declarations and decrees. I begin to understand the power and the authority that we have as believers, especially when we open up our mouth and speak.
One day while I was in the living room with Miss Cheryl she began to ask me what kind of car did I want? I didn’t know what to say because I didn’t have any money or means to get a car. That’s when I learned that faith isn’t predicated on what I have, but it is totally dependent on who God is.
So I prayed and thanked God for a car with four wheels, great air condition, a CD player, and something that was economical. I didn’t want much and to be honest I probably didn’t think that I could really ask him for much because of where I was in life.
But I’m so glad I didn’t allow my circumstances to stop me from even asking.
anyway, I want to say probably 6 to 8 months later I was at a party with some people from my church. This man that I only met once in my life, came up to me and said he had something for me. He wanted me to follow him outside.
Normally, when men had something for me, it came with a cost. But this man said that there were no strings attached, that he just wanted to be a blessing to me. so I walked outside and I stood in front of a Honda Civic LX that was fully paid for and it was all mine.
He even made sure the car had a tuneup a fresh oil change new tires & a full tank of gas.
So thank you God for all you have done in me. Thank you Lord for the many blessings in the past and all the great things you have to come.
