Mini apple hand pies. These pies were so delicious with our homemade pie crust...perfectly flaky. I used a heaping tsp or so of homemade apple pie filling. These apple had pies are perfect for your next summer cookout or 4th of July.

Making pie crust using chilled shortening(1/2 c) and butter(1/4c). Approximately 5tbsp of ice water and 1 tbsp of cold white vinegar. I used the pastry blender to incorporate the shortening and butter into 2 cups of sifted flour with 1 tsp of salt. This is a recipe for a double pie crust
