Westside Show Photo Dump

WOW.

Incase you missed it, I took over as Executive Director of CougsFirst! last fall. It’s been a true honor, lots of work, and lots of fun.

This last Thursday and Friday hundreds of Cougs took over Seattle to support over 70 Coug-connected businesses, meet staff and players, listen to Cantwell, and connect with fellow Cougs at our flagship event.

And when I tell you this event took a village, that couldn’t be more true. So thank you. Thank you for supporting, sponsoring, (getting your bartending license to help pour beer… Mat), spreading the word, going on the news, traveling into town, volunteering… the list goes on and on.

But most importantly, thanks for showing up for the community. We all know how special this university is. And if you’re a business owner/leader, congratulations you’ve found your forever home ❤️ in the CougsFirst! family.

Cougs are taking Seattle.

As Executive Director of , I’m asking you to help turn Seattle into Cougar country for a day at the CougsFirst! Westside Show & Career Expo on Friday, May 29 at the 505 Building in Pioneer Square.

This isn’t another stiff networking thing. It’s where Coug businesses, leaders, and students collide to trade opportunities, referrals, and real support—and your next client, hire, or collaborator could be in that room.

Still processing all the magic that was + LIVE 2026 🥹.

And beyond honored to be the MC for this amazing event (and the freak in the spreadsheets 😆). That stage and that moment alongside all of you is my happy place. It feels so raw, honest, and vulnerable. Like we are all in this one moment and experience, together.

My hope is that you loved feeling inspired, rejuvenated, motivated, and equipped all that lies ahead.

And now? That you’ve had the time to take some action. I want to remind you that you are not alone in this part. And if you need a homebase, come get work down . Need people to champion and challenge you? Come to an meeting.

Last year, I stood on this stage carrying a baby and a version of myself that was still becoming.
This year, I stood here holding my daughter… and so much more clarity.

Same room.
Different season.

And honestly, that’s what LIVE has always been about.

Not becoming louder.
Not doing more.
Not proving anything to anyone.

But honoring who you are now — even when that looks different than before.

This year felt slower in the best way.
More grounded.
More present.
Less hustle for the sake of it, and more intention behind every single choice.

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every woman who chose to be in the room.
For the conversations. The courage. The quiet moments. The stretch.
For trusting this space to hold you exactly where you are.

Growth doesn’t always look like expansion on the outside.
Sometimes it looks like alignment on the inside.
Sometimes it looks like choosing peace.
Sometimes it looks like holding your baby while standing fully in your purpose.

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for trusting the process.
Thank you for being part of this chapter with me.

This wasn’t a full circle moment.
It was a reminder that we’re allowed to grow and stay rooted at the same time. 🤍
