EAGLE KAIN WRAPS UP SUCCESSFUL SEASON

At UCLA, East Eagle Kain Medrano established himself as a linebacker of note.

The sophomore finished the year with 26 tackles, 16 of which were solo efforts. He also recovered a fumble.

Kain was named UCLA’s Special Teams Player of the Week following a 44-10 blowout of Hawaii in which he had 3 solo tackles and a quarterback hurry.

The Bruins finished the season with a 6-3 conference mark, good enough for second place in the PAC-12 South. UCLA was scheduled to play in the Holiday Bowl but pulled out due to COVID-related concerns.

Kain also is a member of the UCLA Track and Field Team and in the fall of 2019, he earned a spot on the UCLA Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

SUCCESSFUL TOY DRIVE
Thanks to the Eagle Empire, a lot of under-privileged children will have a happier Christmas.

Eagle students and staff, with direction from Mr. Ray LeMasters, teamed up with local veterans’ organization American Legion Post #2 for the 12th annual Toy Drive.

Through the generosity of Eagles, well over 200 toys were collected, and will be shared with youngsters in need.
