I prayed for a man who would see me for me. Who would treasure the person God created me to be. And to open up a future of possibilities. I prayed that yes would be forever. I prayed that I could stand on my own two feet, carve my path, and embrace my calling. What a special man it would take to not be challenged or threatened by that. I prayed for someone who was secure in their own calling, leading the way for unlimited opportunities. I prayed he would be grounded in faith to sustain all life would present. I prayed for someone who loved his family so much that he could love my family the same. I prayed for a man who would treasure me, call me beloved and blessed. I prayed for a man who would cover me, be strong and courageous to lead me. Patient and gentle to guide me. I prayed. I prayed I prayed. And God gave me you! Thank you Jesus for answered prayer. Thank you for 22 years of yes, yes, and wow, let’s keep going. It’s ridiculous to say that I love you, you know that. But I want you to know I thank God for you. That I’m excited for our future. That I’m thankful for you, who you are, and who you strive to become. Happy Anniversary honey!
