What should a 17-year-old be able to DO?

That's a question we think about a lot.

Not just:
What courses have they completed?
But can they take initiative?
Communicate with adults?
Manage a project?
Meet a deadline?
Solve a problem?
Learn something they weren't explicitly taught? Discover opportunities and pursue them?

We want teens leaving iCreate with more than credits on a transcript. (Although they can have that too.)

We want them to have evidence that they're capable.

Maybe they want to start a business. Build something in the makerspace. Create a film. Design a game. Write a book. Learn a trade. Organize an event.

Our teens have opportunities to choose and develop their own projects, with mentors helping them turn an idea into something real.

Because sometimes the best learning starts with:
