Feb. 28th - Black History Month Business Challenge RI - DAY #28:
We Celebrate, The Mighty “Keep Forward Movement” Leadership Group.

In the heart of Providence, where resilience meets culture and community voices shape the future, the KFM Leadership Group — Keep Forward Movement — aka (Kobi For Mayor) stands as a pillar of empowerment and collective progress. Rooted in the belief that forward motion is not optional but essential, KFM embodies its name by inspiring individuals and neighborhoods to keep moving toward purpose, unity, and opportunity.

KFM Leadership is more than an organization; it is a movement of committed leaders, mentors, and advocates who understand the power of representation and responsibility. Emerging from Providence’s vibrant yet historically underserved communities, the group centers its work on uplifting youth, strengthening families, and cultivating leadership from within. Their approach is grounded in authenticity — leaders who come from the community, serve the community, and grow with the community.

Through mentorship, community conversations, youth engagement initiatives, and collaborative partnerships, KFM fosters safe spaces where voices are heard and potential is recognized. Their presence is often felt in neighborhood gatherings, empowerment forums, and grassroots initiatives that focus on positivity, accountability, and economic and social mobility.

At its core, KFM Leadership believes leadership is not about titles — it’s about action. It’s about “showing up” consistently, modeling integrity, and building bridges where barriers once stood. The group’s work reflects a deep commitment to transforming challenges into opportunities and turning collective pain into collective progress and collective leadership!

In a city rich with black history and culture, KFM Leadership continues to write its own chapter — one defined by courage, collaboration, and the unwavering determination to keep forward movement alive in Providence, Rhode Island.

Feb. 25th - Black History Month Business Challenge RI - DAY #25:
We Celebrate, The “Handshake Initiative RI”.

The Handshake Initiative RI is a community-based, non-partisan volunteer effort that builds positive relationships with students by greeting them with handshakes, high-fives, and encouragement at school arrival times.
Founded by Col. Anthony Roberson, Central Falls PD - led by Community Leader’s, Kobi D. & Milou R, to provide hope and showcase diverse role models - the initiative operates in schools all across RI.
The Handshake Initiative RI is an empowerment movement focused on connection, collaboration, and opportunity. Rooted in the simple but powerful act of a handshake, high-five, fist pump or applause, the initiative symbolizes trust, unity, partnership, and shared responsibility across communities throughout the Ocean State.
The Handshake Initiative invites all community members to participate.
We can guarantee, it’s the best 30 minutes of “giving back” that you will experience in RI.
