First run using the jogging stroller with my new training partner. Our 3.5 mile jaunt on the bike path wasn’t anything speedy but it sure was fun!
Getting out to run isn’t as easy as it use to be so I’m happy Cady is big enough for her new whip and finds run so thrilling it puts her to sleep 😂
I wasn’t expecting my arms to get so tired from the pushing. Any moms out there got advice for a newbie?

Fun day at Bobby Doyle Summer Classic. No running for me this year but hope to be back out there next summer!

Look at that form!
I’ve been coaching Will since March and his form has improved so much in that time.
By adding a dynamic warmup with drills to his pre run routine and ending his training runs with strides he has become a much more efficient runner.
This helped Will power through a hot and humid 10 mile race last Friday night.

Coach life with my sidekick 😎
Last night we went to cheer on all the Knighton Runs athletes participating in the Blessing of the Fleet 10 mile road race in Narragansett.
It was a humid night for racing but all our athletes did great!

It’s hot out there. The kind of hot that makes people tired, grumpy, and unmotivated to venture beyond the sweet relief of their AC.
To make your summer training more enjoyable try to find roads, paths, and trails that provide shade. This will help keep your core temperature down and provide protection from the sun.
Last week Knighton Runs athletes did a workout at the Cumberland Monastery. It’s the perfect place for a summer workout - lots of shade and plenty of soft trails to run on. Go check it out!

This Father’s Day was a very special day for us as we welcomed our daughter, Cady Eileen Knighton, and officially made runs a dad :)
Cady was born June 19 at 3:20 am weighing 6 pounds and 6 ounces.
We couldn’t be happier to have this new 🦁 as part of the family!

It was a great weekend to represent in the Knighton Runs singlet!
High school athlete, Will San Antonio, ran the Gaspee Days 5k in Cranston, RI to cap off his spring season of training.
Will will now take 10 days off to rest his body before kicking off 10 weeks of summer training in the Knighton Runs High Performance Summer Youth Program. This summer we will focus on increasing his milage, strength training, and cross country specific workouts to get him ready for his senior year of racing!

It’s and to celebrate I’m not running 🥲.
I haven’t run in months due to my pregnancy but I have been fan girling hard for .
I’m looking forward to getting back out on the roads soon but until then I will be a cheerleader for all my athletes - adult and high school :)
