Come soar with us on JET!! ✈️ We are SO excited to announce we now offer dyslexia therapy specifically designed for high school students. JET is Scottish Rite Hospital’s NEWEST dyslexia therapy program. This one year program is perfect for any student who is around 14 years to adulthood! JET allows for your son or daughter to master the skills & concepts from the traditional Take Flight program with only a 1 year completion timeframe. They even added skills ALL high schoolers need like note taking, study skills, etc. We are so excited about this new program and all the older students we will now get to help reach their fullest potential! I was blessed twice with this amazing teen and her sweet family! Years ago, I was lucky enough to be Ava’s 2nd grade teacher. These past couple years, I have had the amazing privilege of working with Ava again as her dyslexia therapist. I have seen Ava grow in so many ways from her reading, spelling and writing. I could go on and on! She is such an amazing light to this world! I cannot wait to see all the amazing things that are in store for her in the future!! Congratulations, sweet girl!!

I am so excited to share Josh has graduated the dyslexia program and has completed all 7 books of Take Flight. He has grown incredibly in his confidence, reading, spelling and written expression. I’m so proud of all your hard work!!🎓 📜

Did you know, 1 in 5 Americans have dyslexia and some may not even realize it yet. From astronauts, doctors, lawyers, etc., dyslexia is showing up in all professions these days! ❤️

NCIS: Hawai'i star Alex Tarrant has dyslexia - how he masters his lines “Sometimes I have to write out my lines over and over again, while other times I find a rhythm within it to almost make it a song," the Kiwi actor explains.

House Bill 3928 is now law! It’s always important for families to understand any new laws regarding dyslexia or suspected dyslexia. This graphic was shared with me by another dyslexia therapist. Check out this graphic it really explains all the details!!

There were times early on I never thought my son would choose to pick up a book and read without being made to. The school dyslexia program just wasn’t enough. It wasn’t until I took things into my hands and made sure my oldest received the Take Flight program WITH fidelity. Once I was able to customize his dyslexia program he just took off reading!! Today, he asked me to take him to the library because he needed new books. My mama heart leapt for joy! 📚💙

Ever curious about the difference between Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia or Dyspraxia? Each of these can exhibit independent of each other or a student can have a more than one. Did you know 30% of students with Dyslexia also has Dysgraphia. 40% of students with dyslexia also struggle with math and end up having dyscalculia.
