Mr. Dodd had the honor of presenting a clinic at TBA (Texas Bandmasters Association) last week in San Antonio.

Mr. Dodd, and fellow Texas trumpet educators Ms. Jackson (Richardson) and Mr. Capshaw (El Paso) shared with a full room of educators some of their strategies for teaching beginner trumpet students!

The Richland High School Wind Ensemble just placed SECOND at the TMEA 4A Honor Band State Finals in San Antonio!!! What an absolute honor to be included with so many of the finest programs across the state. We are so incredibly proud of all our students and what this program has been able to accomplish in such a short time, and we cannot wait to build on these successes in the coming years. Such a great way to close out Year ONE!

Year One continues to be full of amazing moments! Beyond humbled and honored to announce that the Richland High School Wind Ensemble has advanced to the 2026 TMEA 4A State Honor Band Finals tomorrow. Please congratulate these incredible students when you see them on all the work that went into this massive achievement. THANK YOU to everyone that has helped us get to this point in such a short time. We are beyond proud!

🎵🏆The Rushing MS Concert Band and Symphonic Band competed in UIL concert and sight reading competition last week for a panel of 6 judges. Both the bands received a unanimous “First Division” rating on stage and in Sight Reading! A first division rating is the highest honors a band can received in UIL competition 🏆🎵
