The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 1974 by a group of engineers employed by the city of Los Angeles. At the end of RLDC 2016, the Region 4 Rising Star Award was presented to our very own Freshman Representative, Jo-Ann Diaz Hernandez!
The Region 4 Rising Star Award is awarded to an individual student who is either a freshman or a first year E-board member who has demonstrated outstanding potential in being a future SHPE chapter, regional, or national leader.
We are so proud and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her! Congratulations Jo-Ann!
