Institute for Indigenous America Studies Institute for Indigenous American Studies - IIAS is a private educational institution affiliate of F.I.A.A.H. for training in traditional knowledge studies.

Institute for Indigenous American Studies (IIAS) is for Amerindian People of the Americas including Caribbean aka Negro aka black American by heritage (mothers) to learn traditional knowledge skills, training and continue the development of Amerindian technology used for centuries by their ancestors for living on Earth. The Institute offers 4 different schools of study:

The curriculum allows an Indigenous American student to articulate the complete picture of Indigenous American Peoples of the Western Hemisphere and their experiences of the past, present, and outlook for the future of our collective viability on our Earth.

Join us August 11-13, 2023, for a camping weekend of wild edible and medicinal plant identification, harvesting, and preservation instruction - along with herbal preparation of salves, oils, tinctures, & extracts.

We will explore wilderness survival techniques at FIAAH’s Yumwija campus, 230 acres of virgin wilderness in West Virginia, presented by Rangers Thomas and Jasmene Rhem who have taught Outdoor Education courses and Wild Edible seminars for over 40 years, and served as Rangers for over 15 years on 570 acres of wilderness in Tennessee.

There will also be an induction of new members with 4 sacred Earth ceremonies (fire, water, ancestral dinner, air) will be performed. Don't miss out $150.00 per person!
