Activities include painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, expressive journaling and crafts. 2 Birds on a Brush is an art education partnership of two women, sisters by marriage that share a love of teaching and making all things creative and artistic! Kelly Crocker, the rooster of the group, has been offering private art lessons for several years. She is has been a teacher with the local school sy
stem for over 15 years with experience ranging from kindergarten to high school. She travels yearly to Nicaragua, with Princeton Church of God, to provide art instructions and guide children and adults in ministries. Kelly also adds to the ongoing murals on the stucco walls that surround the community she visits in Nicaragua. She is a graduate of Barton College. She has continued to grow as a professional in the arts by attending the yearly NC Association of Art Educators Conference. Magen Pike, the blue bird in the group, has been teaching for over 9 years. She has worked with several school systems and arts councils offering art camp instruction. She has also taught children from K-12. She is a graduate of Mount Olive College. Yearly, she attends the NC Association of Art Educators Conference. Kelly and Magen, of 2 Birds on a Brush, will be offering unique classes monthly to adults and children in the community with the same appreciation for the arts and need to create. Classes will be varied artistic style to cater to peoples individual likes and talents. Offerings will be posted. The cost will vary depending on the class and materials required.
