I hope this update finds everyone well and that you are having a wonderful summer!

I have been busy in the background this summer setting us up for a successful year.

This is going to be lengthy so the most important take-away is our 1st BOOSTER CLUB MEETING WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 6TH at 1900 at PGHS. It will be recorded and available virtually for families who are unable to attend. (Back up location is the Disputanta Library if there is a scheduling issue with the school). I will send reminders and updates accordingly.

Updates:

1. Our Articles of Incorporation have been filed and approved by the State Corporation Commission, and we are officially registered as a non-stock corporation under the entity name Prince George High School JROTC Booster Club.

2. We have been issued our EIN/tax ID.

3. I have everything prepared, and ready to submit for our non-profit 501(c)(3) status

a. This cannot be submitted until we have our full initial board assigned, as it requires names, addresses, and contact information for the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

b. It also requires the initial board to sign the club’s bylaws.

4. Once our 501(c)(3) status is approved (which generally takes 10-14 days from submission) we can set up our Booster Club bank account at the Bank of Southside.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Once we have our non-profit status, full board members and committee members, and our bank account set-up our next priority should be fundraising/sponsorships/and events to network and become a known and trusted organization in the area.

We are also waiting on a specific date to complete the construction of the Raiders Obstacle Course and Archery Range from Chief Clemens who is awaiting final approval from the school board next week and purchase/donation of the building materials.

· Please note we are in need of 31 telephone poles to complete this course. If anyone has a contact at Dominion or PGEC that can assist with this please let me know.

· We will be working with Lowes and Home Depot for the other supplies in which we have been given a donation from VFW Post 637.

· We will need a few pieces of heavy equipment for the day such as an auger to drill holes in the ground for the poles as well as a forklift and tractor.

· We will also need some mulch/rubber mats for some of the obstacles so we will work with our local businesses to see if we can get this discounted/donated. (please let me know if you have any connections)

· I have our full supply list that is needed to build the course if you would like to help secure donated materials just let me know.

· Our goal is to start building this within the next month before school starts back, as soon as I have dates I will post accordingly so we can get as many volunteers as possible to help.

Saturday, May 23rd, 2026! This Memorial Day Weekend, the Prince George JROTC Booster Club is giving back to the local organizations that give so much to our cadets throughout the year. We were truly blessed and honored to participate in preparations for the Memorial Day ceremony by placing American flags at each headstone at City Point National Cemetery alongside the incredible members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 637.

This was a humbling reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who served our country. We are grateful for the opportunity to teach our cadets the importance of service, patriotism, respect, and honoring those who came before us. 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help make this meaningful day possible.

May 15, 2026 was an incredible day for the PGHS Army JROTC program at their annual Organization Day! 🇺🇸💚💛

Think of it as a field day designed specifically for JROTC — filled with games, competitions, squad drill, knockout drill, teamwork, great food, and plenty of cadet fun and camaraderie.

The PGHS Army JROTC Booster Club was proud to support this event by donating over $650 worth of t-shirts and decals, along with providing a full meal and refreshment station for the cadets throughout the day.

One of the best parts of the day was watching our support system continue to grow. We had amazing parent volunteers step up to help, and we were excited to recruit additional members and future board members who want to be part of supporting this outstanding program.

Board positions are still available, and we will officially announce positions during our first official Booster Club meeting in late July.

This organization continues to grow because of parents, families, and community members who believe in these cadets and the leadership skills they are developing every single day. We are excited for what’s ahead!

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the PGHS Army JROTC Booster Club was proud to support the End of the Year Team Party and Change of Command Ceremony with drinks and snacks for our cadets. 🇺🇸

This event marked not only the celebration of another successful school year, but also an important tradition as leadership responsibilities were passed on to the next group of cadet leaders.

Moments like these are what the booster club is all about — showing appreciation for the hard work, dedication, leadership, and commitment these students demonstrate throughout the year.

We are honored to play even a small role in helping create positive memories and supporting the incredible young men and women of PGHS Army JROTC.

Thank you to everyone continuing to help us grow and support this outstanding program. 💚💛

A look back at an incredible evening from the PGHS Army JROTC Annual Awards Banquet on April 23, 2026 🇺🇸✨

From the decorations and food to the laughter, recognition, and memories made, this night was all about celebrating our amazing cadets and everything they have accomplished this year.

As our booster club continues to grow, we want to remind everyone that it’s not too late to join and become part of something meaningful for our students and program!

We will be holding our very first official Booster Club meeting in late July, but we already have several summer projects and events we’ll be supporting — including helping build the Raiders obstacle course and archery range.

Whether you can volunteer occasionally, help with events, donate resources, or simply stay informed, we would love to have more parents and supporters involved.

If you are interested in being added to our monthly newsletter with upcoming volunteer opportunities, events, and updates, please send us a message!

A closer look at all of the amazing food provided for the PGHS Army JROTC Annual Awards Banquet on April 23, 2026! 🇺🇸✨

From full meal service to elegant charcuterie boxes, handcrafted desserts, and all the special touches in between, this night was our way of showing these cadets just how appreciated they are.

The PGHS Army JROTC Booster Club was proud to donate the meal and decorations for this special event, and we are so thankful for the support of our community partners, parents, and local businesses who helped make the evening unforgettable.

Our cadets work hard all year long representing Prince George with leadership, discipline, and pride. They deserved a night that celebrated everything they’ve accomplished.

This is exactly what the booster club is all about — supporting our students in meaningful ways and creating experiences they will remember long after graduation. 💚💛

From burgers and hotdogs to a classy awards banquet — the booster club has our cadets covered! 🇺🇸✨

On April 23, 2026, the PGHS Army JROTC Booster Club proudly provided the meal and decorations for the Annual Awards Banquet, helping create a night our cadets truly deserved.

In addition to serving a full meal, we were incredibly thankful to partner with two amazing organizations — the NB Clements PTO and JEJ Moore PTO — who generously supported our unit by donating beautifully elegant charcuterie boxes that added such a special touch to the evening.

The night was made even sweeter with handcrafted cookies and cake created by an incredibly talented local baker whose work was almost too beautiful to eat! Celeste Loeffler

Events like this remind us that supporting our cadets goes far beyond competitions and fundraisers. It’s about celebrating their hard work, leadership, dedication, and accomplishments in a meaningful way.

We are so grateful for the parents, schools, local businesses, and community members helping us build something special for these students. 💚💛
