Welcome to PlayCare! We are a privately run, two-provider home daycare located in North Prince George, Virginia, devoted to affordable excellence in early childhood care and education. , PlayCare has been inspiring happy, healthy kids from 15 months to 5 years of age. Our outstanding reputation and consistent 5-star reviews reflect the trust families place in us and the joy their children experience in our care. At the heart of our program is our innovative GROW WITH US curriculum, designed to meet children where they are developmentally. Divided into two groups—the Littles and the Bigs—our tailored approach allows children to progress through key developmental milestones at their own pace.
• Our Littles begin with a language immersion class, focusing on vocabulary, speech, counting to 20, the alphabet, colors, shapes, motor skills, listening, and guided play supported by educational videos.
• Our Bigs work on more advanced milestones including letter and number recognition, phonics, writing, vocabulary building, and early math and scientific concepts. They also enjoy fun-filled experiments and cooperative learning games to help prepare them for school success. We believe in a balanced day, blending structured education with plenty of free play, outdoor time, and creative exploration. Our children benefit from a dynamic schedule that includes:
• Daily recess on our thoughtfully designed, fully fenced playground, featuring:
A giant sandbox with a boat, playhouse, and boardwalk, Shaded child-sized chaise lounges, Two slides, a giant fort, 2 bounce houses, a caterpillar climber, rocking horses, beach balls, bouncers, a bubble machine, a 7-child airplane teeter-totter, and toddler picnic tables under a 10x20 pergola with 4 large electric fans for comfort during summer
• Indoor activities in two spacious rooms filled with:
• Fabulous toys for free play and award winning electronics
• multiple child-sized dining and activity tables
• Well-stocked shelves of games and educational tools
• A potty-training-friendly bathroom equipped with:
• A toddler wall urinal
• Small sit-down training toilet
• Step access to a standard toilet for older children
• Supervised handwashing at our kitchen sink with child-safe steps
• Rest time on high-quality individual cots with cozy pillows and blankets for each child
• A healthy, homemade meal program, freshly prepared each morning, with fruit- and veggie-rich menus posted weekly on our site
• Daily enrichment including:
• An Alphabet Parade
• Snack and story time
• Music and dance sessions, learning a new song every week
