Look at this adorable hedgehog our library work-study student Alex made! She made it out of a donated textbook so old we could not give it away. Now it sits on our circulation desk to greet our library patrons. 🙂

To celebrate we want to applaud our student staff. Colby, Marren, and Jacquese are part of our team of six who make library services work efficiently for our patrons.
This is one of the best teams we have ever had the pleasure of working with! Their customer service and clerical skills are impressive.
People often think library work is just shelving books, but our students work with the automated library system, help with collection management, use all the tools in Microsoft OWA, assist with our computer and AV technology. They also respond to our chat, email, and phone services. And, they are trained in privacy and confidentiality.

The NMCC Academic Resource Center is CLOSED today, Friday March 7th, due to weather and road conditions.

It's the start of our semester and we are hearing from students about the cost of their textbooks.

NMCC's Academic Resource Center will be CLOSED Monday, October 14th in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day (U.S.) and Canadian Thanksgiving. All College offices will be closed.
The ARC and all College offices will be open normal hours on Tuesday, October 15th.
Here at the library, we can never spend enough time at the
Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian website. It's a wonderful place to visit in person too!

The NMCC Academic Resource Center will be closed Monday May 27th in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday May 28th at 8:00 a.m.
We are now on summer hours: 8:00 to 4:00 Monday-Friday

During we want to thank the employees who keep our library functioning. We are so proud of our two seniors, Boliver and Kassy. Both have worked at the NMCC Library for well over a year, including during the summer. Each has assisted with several complex projects - managing different project elements - in addition to minding the day-to-day business we do here, sometimes working solo. (Anyone who hires them after they graduate will get an awesome employee!)
