🎉Cheers to 2 great semesters of Aero Care🎉
🥳Congrats to our graduates and all the other graduates who joined us today. Thank you to all the friends, family, and faculty for all the support and help along the way ❤️
Aero Care will go down in Embry Riddle history no doubt. ⭐️

This one goes out to our runway queen 💅
Our mighty test flight mascot, Opal. 👑
Not only does she bring our spirits up, but if she’s near, she also keeps us safe from evil flies by attacking each and every one of them that come near the aircraft. 🪰
She makes a great model and she can sure rock Aero Care merch 😎

⭐️ Made our mark on Embry Riddle for the most wing rebuild hours. ⭐️
We made 6 full size wings with 30 total layups this semester 🤯
That’s a lot of layups. But hey, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Special thanks to Patrick in AXFAB for being so kind to us, always being positive, and making us this custom plaque that will stay hung up at the school. 💯
(Also didn’t get everyone together for a group picture today at our table so this is the best we got)

Some detail shots. Because it’s the little things that make big things happen (and look cool). ⭐️

Proof of the hard work paying off. We had a smooth ~30 minute flight and successfully deployed our 4 pound payload. ✈️☁️
The second half of our flight was fully autonomous with the aircraft flying all by itself. ✨
She flew with beauty and grace. Unfortunately, the auto landing made a slight miscalculation resulting in the nose gear buckling and our aircraft sliding to a stop. Thankfully, the damage was minor and we have been working hard today to make the proper fixes to get her looking perfect once again. 🩵💙
Who knows, maybe she’ll touch the clouds one more time 👀

☁️Our aircraft’s head was in the clouds for a few minutes today✈️
However…it ended with tragedy. 🪦
Today did not end how we had hoped, but we plan on continuing on and rebuilding before the end of the semester. 🤞
Any donations at this time to our GoFundMe, thoughts, and prayers will be greatly appreciated to help us get back in the sky within the next couple weeks. We’ve put our blood, sweat, and tears into this capstone and we don’t want it to end here. 🫶

😎🆒 They see me rolling…
We performed our initial ground testing over the weekend. Found a couple of manufacturing defects that we will be fixing over the coming days in preparation of our first flight this weekend. 🫠
Overall, very successful and pretty confident on our design. More coming soon…
Thank you for all the support that has gotten us this far 🙏
