Today NARTA Class 48 paused their drivers training to take a moment of silence on honor of Commander Greg Carnicle of the Phoenix Police Department who selflessly lost his life in the line of duty on March 29, 2020.

Today we remember Flagstaff Police Officer and NARTA Class 36 graduate Tyler Stewart for his bravery and selfless sacrifice while protecting his community. We miss you and we will never forget you.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS
OFFICER TYLER J. STEWART
Flagstaff Police Department (12-29-2014). The Flagstaff Police Department and the family of Officer Tyler Jacob Stewart would like to announce his funeral.
WHEN: Friday January 2, 2015
WHERE: Christ’s Church, 3475 E. Soliere Flagstaff AZ
TIME: 10:00 AM
PROCESSION (PUBLIC SAFETY/FAMILY ONLY)
The procession will begin at Norvel Owens Mortuary located at 941 E. Rt. 66 AT 9:00 AM on January 2, 2015. The procession will head west on Route 66, and travel in front of Flagstaff City Hall, and will transition onto South Milton after the underpass. The route will then course south to the intersection of Butler and S. Milton. The procession will turn East on Butler, and follow Butler Avenue to Fourth Street where it will head north and turn east onto Soliere. The final destination will be Christ’s Church at 3475 E. Soliere, Flagstaff Arizona.
STAGING
All Public Safety vehicles should stage along Route 66 facing west and parking east from 941 E. Route 66. When the west facing lane is full, Switzer Canyon will be used for staging as well as any available parking lots north on Switzer Canyon Drive. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office CERT Volunteers will be directing the Public Safety vehicles.
HONOR GUARDS (All Agencies)
For visiting Honor Guards, please meet at Christ’s Church at 3475 E. Soliere no later than 0830 hours to form the cordon for the arrival of Officer Tyler Stewart and his family. The funeral is scheduled to begin at 10 am.
RECEPTION
After the funeral there will be a private reception on campus for the family, friends and Public
Safety.
The Flagstaff area is expecting inclement weather. Please be prepared for cold temperatures and icy roads.

NARTA has lost one of its own. Officer Tyler Stewart of the Flagstaff Police Department was a recruit in Class 36. He had a servant's heart and loved being a police officer. We will miss you. Rest in peace, we've got it from here Officer Stewart.
