Then, convert 2 and a half yards to inches: 2.5yd x 3 ft per yd x 12 in. per ft = 90 in. Last, divide the total amount of ribbon Merry has (90 in.) by the amount needed per bow (28 in.). The answer will be a decimal (3.214...), but you will only count the whole number, which is 3 bows.

All students have a unique way in which they can describe how best they learn. Knowing this about themselves can help students monitor their own learning and achieve their academic goals.

In A Grade Ahead teacher Nate Baltzer’s blog article, “A Grade Ahead Helps Students Find Their Learning Superpowers!”, students can learn more about the types of learners. The article also has a quick and fun quiz for students who want to self assess.

While knowing about learning superpowers can helps students manage their learning, students shouldn’t rely exclusively on one learning method. Instead, students should broaden their learning strategies to be best equipped to use critical thinking and solve problems.

Do you worry about summer learning loss from lack of educational opportunities? You may not be alone.

Summer learning should provide practical support for students’ learning to bridge the gap to the new school year. When students do not participate in summer enrichment opportunities, they’re at greater risk of falling behind or forgetting concepts that were learned in the previous year.

A Grade Ahead supports students’ learning by providing year-round educational enrichment. With each new academic year starting in June, students have the perfect opportunity to retain more of previously learned concepts as they build knowledge before the start of the school year.
