We had wonderful Multicultural Showcase at NWC on March 28th. The showcase was organized by mainly international students from outside of the United States. And they served their cuisines and they wore their traditional outfits during the event.

It was unforgettable memory of my NWC life for sure. Thanks for people coming to the event!

Last weekend, on March 28, Northwest College hosted the Multicultural Showcase, and
honestly, it felt like the whole world came to campus for one day. Students from 26
different countries came together to share their culture through food, performances, and
traditions.
There were a lot of moments that stood out. Seeing international students outside with
their flags was really cool, and the performances inside brought a lot of energy. You could
also tell how many people came to support, and that made a big difference. The whole
place felt full and alive the entire time.

For me, one of the best parts was trying food from all around the world. It is not something you get to do every day, and it made the experience even better. It also made me realize how much you can learn about a culture just through food.

What I liked was how natural everything felt. People from different backgrounds were just talking, watching, learning, and enjoying the moment. It did not feel complicated, it just felt
real.

I am really glad I got to be part of this. It was not just an event, it showed how easy it is for people from different parts of the world to come together and connect when everyone is
open.

Registration for Fall 2026 class begins today at Northwest College.

This fall, the Northwest College Photographic Communications program will be offering Beginning Digital Photography on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:10 PM.

The class is open to anyone interested in learning more about taking better photographs. Students registered for this class do not need to have previous photography experience or have a camera.

Students will have access to checking out cameras and the photography equipment necessary to complete assignments.

Over the weekend of March 28th - March 29th, I attended the Photography Department’s Alternative Process Weekend here at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. Students, teachers, and alumni all participated in making photo prints using techniques from the 1800s.

The processes used were the Van D**e brown and the Cyanotype printing process. Overall, it was a fun, insightful weekend, and I look forward to doing it again next year!

Welcome to our Multicultural Showcase! 🌍✨
On March 28th, 2026, at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, students, staff, and the community came together to celebrate diversity, culture, and connection.

This event highlighted the incredible cultural diversity on campus. Students shared their traditions through food, music, performances, and fashion, creating an environment where everyone could learn from one another and feel included.

Each student prepared a traditional dish from their home country, offering a unique opportunity to experience flavors from around the world. From sweet desserts to savory specialties, every table told a story of culture, identity, and passion.

The performances brought the event to life, featuring singing, dancing, and even a fashion show where students proudly showcased traditional clothing from their countries. I also had the opportunity to participate in the performances, making the experience even more meaningful.

A special thank you to Sodexo for supporting the food preparation and to Robert Rumbolz for managing the audio and technical setup. Your contribution made this event possible!

By Maria Gracia: Post for Intro to Digital Multimedia class

On March 28th, 2026, the Multicultural Showcase took place at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. It brought the community together and offered a chance to experience different cultures through food, games, performances, and different types of activities.

From tasting dishes from around the world to enjoying traditional dances and songs, the event highlighted the importance of cultural exchange and connection. It also encouraged attendees to support the college’s Student Travel Endowment, which plays a major role in funding academic opportunities, such as competitions where students represent the college.

I loved being part of the showcase by sharing a traditional dessert from my country, Argentina. It is a small but meaningful way to connect through culture and tradition. Events like this remind us that learning goes far beyond the classroom.

Hi, my name is TOMO. I’m an international student in Powell, Wy.

I’m from Japan. I’m looking forward to getting a job as a tax preparation professional in the United States. In order to make my dream come true, I’m working on studying to get an EA certificate. I’ll have a great service and tenderness in my business.

Intro to Digital Multimedia, Spring 2025, Cross Media Analysis assignment by Matthew Alley.

Medora is a hidden gem in the great state of North Dakota. I had the pleasure of working there this past summer, and I’m looking forward to working this summer as well. I want to show people this hidden gem as an actor because of its staple! The Medora Musical!

The Medora Musical is a professionally done musical done every night, except for Mondays, in the summer. The theater studio that runs it, RWS Studio, hires professional singers and dancers to star in the show, they also hire a full band. This musical has been around for 60 years, this summer being the 60th year anniversary.

In the first photo, it shows the outdoor stage of this iconic show.

Then in the second photo, you can see me on my first day, I got to be on the front of house radio, helping with front stage.

In the third photo, this is what the theater looked after a bad thunder-storm.

Next in the fourth photo, you can see me with the iconic Sheriff Bear! He’s the mascot of the Medora Musical! Then in the final photo, you Can see what the theater looked like on one of our sold out shows!
