🌈👠 First Grade Followed the Yellow Brick Road! 👠🌈

Our first grade Bears wrapped up their Wizard of Oz unit with a little extra magic! ✨ Students dressed as their favorite characters and enjoyed watching the classic film after spending time exploring the story together.

Throughout the unit, students worked on identifying characters, settings, and major events, explored character traits, and compared how a story changes when it goes from the page to the screen. 📚🎬

Of course, they also discovered some pretty important lessons about courage, kindness, friendship, and making smart choices along the way. ❤️🦁

What a fun way to bring reading to life! There really is no place like Baggett! 🏡💚💙

From the Dawgs ❤️🖤 to the Jackets 💛, and plenty of other favorite teams in between, Baggett was full of college football spirit today! 🎉

Congratulations to our August Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Carrier!

Mrs. Carrier was nominated by one of her fellow staff members for “the patience and kindness she shows daily!” Those words perfectly capture the heart she brings to Baggett each and every day.

Mrs. Carrier received a $25 Chick-fil-A gift card, generously donated by West Ridge Church, and she’ll enjoy the coveted Staff Member of the Month parking spot for the entire month of September!

We are excited to officially welcome Officer K as Baggett Elementary’s new School Resource Officer!
Officer K will be an important part of our Baggett family, helping us maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for our students and staff. We are so glad to have her on our team!

🍫🐻 Baggett Bears are ALL IN on our fundraiser! We’ve already handed out 165 boxes of chocolate…and we SOLD OUT! 🎉 Don’t worry though…More chocolate arrives Friday and will go home Tuesday, so keep sending in those permission forms! If you need an additional box, we are keeping a list in the front office.
We had a BLAST today passing out bracelets with Cash Money Mike and Cash Money Cam! 💵😎 The excitement is REAL! Keep selling, Bears, and keep working toward those awesome prizes and our MAGIC SHOW! 🎩✨

🍂🎪 Baggett Families — we need your help! 🐻💙

Our Fall Festival is right around the corner, and we’re collecting donations to help make it a great night for our Bears!

Each hallway has a requested item:

❤️ Red Hall: Unopened boxes of Little Debbie or Hostess snack cakes
💙 Blue Hall: Unopened individual snack-size bags of chips
💚 Green Hall: Unopened cases of name-brand sodas
🍬 All Halls: Unopened, individually wrapped bags of candy

Please make sure all donated items have an expiration date AFTER 9/15/26.

Every donation, big or small, helps make our Fall Festival possible. Thank you, Baggett families, for always showing up and supporting our school! 🐻🍁

Our World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser started off AMAZING today! We delivered 97 BOXES of chocolate on our very first day! 🎉👏 We are so excited to see our Bears working hard and having fun!
🍫 Didn’t return your permission form today? No worries! You can still send it in tomorrow, and we’ll get your chocolate to you! Remember every one that sells at least one box of chocolate will get to attend the magic show on October 9th.
💰 MONEY COLLECTION:
All money collected is due Monday, October 5th, or you can turn it in as soon as you are ready! Simply send the money to school with your student, and their homeroom teacher will collect it.
We will accept cash or checks.
