Power in your Dreams

On Sunday I noticed that the wood bees were at work again on my overhangs. One year they feasted on my wood above my bay window. This year is the garage. As I slept last night about four in the morning God showed me my painter, Dino, hand. Inside his hand was a red can with a spider on it. I woke up and the time was 4am. Apparently it is a paint additive that keeps flying and crawling insects away. So today after my walk, I will head on to Home Depot and buy some wood filler and insect additives. I already have paint in the garage.
Your answers are yes “only in your dreams”. When you are thinking of something big and you share it with someone and they say “only in your dreams”;don’t get offended. Because your answers are in your dreams.

Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus thank you for the gift of sleep. Your sleep is sweet. Thank you for the ability to lie down and wake up. Lord, I pray that you cancel the assignment of every dream erasing spirit. Every dark power holding my memory from understanding my dream I destroy your powers now in Jesus name. Every dream erasing spirit hear the word of the Lord restore my stolen dreams in the name of Jesus. Jesus please store good dreams that will allow me to live a strategic life in Jesus name amen.

The Power of Asking.
I don't know where this rumor started that we can't ask God questions. Well, I'm here to share with you some bible truths about the power of asking. The scriptures I am coming to you with is first, Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not..”. In this scripture he said that he's going to answer things we could not figure out on our own. Now I am curious as to how? What is our assurance? What is the legal documentation that he will answer us other than him saying it in Jeremiah 33:3? Great question, we find that answer in Psalms 20:6 “ Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.”

Okay great, we now know that we can ask, he will hear and show by his right hand, but why the right hand. What power is in his right hand. Why is that important to us specifically at the right hand. Well let us find out who is seated at the right hand. We find that answer in Mark 16:19 “Mark 16:19: Jesus is then taken up into heaven where, Mark states, he sits at the right hand of God.” And who is Jesus? Mark 1:1,”The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God,”. What is his role in all of this Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,”

I love days like this! Today is a new day, a new week, and a new month. For all of us it is time to reset. To place some things in order. I challenge you today to get organized and disciplined in such a way that nothing holds you back from the goals that you said that you have desired. How to do that? Mindset. Mindset is always more important than skill set. Because if you have an open mind you can open it to a different skill set. Most people with skill sets are just set in their ways. They say no I’m not doing that, no that’s not how I do it, no I don’t like that. People with an open mindset, it does not matter what arena you put them in, they want to excel. It is eerie to think how words can build you up or tear you down. Words can edify and exalt or utterly destroy you. The words that you speak or the words that have been spoken over you, are the foundation on which you journey through life. Take for example, a circus. Have you ever been to a circus and heard the ringmaster tell the animals not to eat the people? Have you ever heard them instruct the animals not to leave the tent? Why? The answer is the animals have been conformed. The words that have been spoken thru the years to us has shaped us into who we are; for the good or the bad. We don't have to stay trained and mastered by our past we can be transformed by the renewing or our minds; with the right words.

The wrong words not only hurt, but they leave residue and not quickly cleaned off it stains and sometimes causes bad infections and infestations. To the outside world these infections look like bad habits, poor choices, addictions, and strange behaviors. Infected persons then find a flock, as the saying goes "birds of a feather flock together".

The new crew either enable or participate. An enabler is identified as the one who do not challenge you to change. They support either physically, financially, emotionally or socially. A participant is the person who has the same habit or behavior. Both persons trauma bond in a safe no judgement zone. Their only exchange is new ways to delve deeper into their bad habits or addictions.

A person can also be addicted to un-forgiveness. Yes the euphoric feeling of being right and sticking to your point of view no matter what. Its for the principle of the matter right? Or maybe it is your Ringmaster. Yes un-forgiveness can be your Ringmaster. It can master your choices and decisions. You can end up making decisions and life choices motivated by anger. That motivation pushes you further and further into isolation with just you and your principle.

That statement reminds me of the story in the book of Exodus of Pharaoh sitting in the midst of the plagues of frogs. Exodus 8:8 Moses explained to Pharaoh that he will give him the honor of setting the time for him and his house to be rid of the frogs and Pharaoh response was "tomorrow." Moses response was, "It will be as you say."

If Pharaoh would have said today he wanted to be rid of his plague, that day the plague would have departed. However, Pharaoh had become comfortable with the plague, familiar, and feared the unknown. Just like Pharaoh we choose our plagues to remain because it is comfortable. It is familiar. We know we have this addiction we don't have to put forth any effort it is our norm. With change brings unfamiliar territory. Changing is uncomfortable. We are forced to think differently. We are challenged to exchange old habits for new ones. We are charged by our conscience when we don't get it right on the first try. Our flaws become more obvious. It is more noticeable and we have to face fact with our addiction, habit or behavior in order to change it. We fear if we face it others will know all what so carefully we hid up until this point.

So like Pharaoh I too say, "tomorrow". Tomorrow I will go on a diet. Tomorrow I will go to rehab. Tomorrow I will respect those around me. Tomorrow I will make amends with family members. Tomorrow I will assume paternity. Tomorrow I will pay my child support. Tomorrow I will call my AA counselor. Tomorrow I will get a job. Tomorrow I will further my education. Tomorrow...

Pharaoh I give you the courtesy to set the time to open your mouth to give the orders to let the people go. As long as you keep your mouth close you and your people will sit in the midst of the plagues. The infestation, infections, and residue will seep into your next generation and poison their lives. Will you rid yourself of the Ringmaster?
