Farmstand July 31
In Pound, about 1 mile up 631 Mill Creek at Chipmunk Road
Afternoon,
What we have on the stand:
-Cherry Tomatoes
-Tiny Winter Squash
*We have an old-fashioned dishpan full of KY Wonder Beans picked this morning for $20. These are not on the stand; we can place them there with your name on them. In addition, we picked, broke, and pulled off strings to allow 3 types of green beans to dry into Shuckey Beans. These should last months if kept dry.
*We plan to put out freshly picked Celery in our cooler on the stand tomorrow.
We are sooo excited to have so many fall crops started in the greenhouse, plus some flowers and herbs that are frost tolerant or are perennials. We should be stocking the farmstand with these in a week or so. We also start 5 kinds of Peas tomorrow, some in cups and some direct seeded on the farm to sell. Today, we plan to also plant 2 types of Radishes in pots. And...we should have Asparagus plants on the stand soon!
Did we say we were excited??!!!
Again, if you have extra plant pots and/or used cattle/sheep/goat panels lying around, please let us know. We are already planning for next spring.
