What’s REALLY happening on the swing?✨

When the swing became one of the most popular spots in the woods, children suddenly had something they all wanted—and that meant figuring out how to share the space.

We watched children negotiate turns, communicate when they weren’t finished, advocate for themselves, listen to one another, navigate disagreements, and work toward solutions. Rather than adults immediately stepping in to solve the problem, we supported children in using their own voices and working through conflict together.

And while all that social learning was happening, their bodies were working too! Swinging supports balance, body awareness, self-regulation, and grip strength.

Conflict isn’t necessarily an interruption to play—sometimes, it’s where some of the most important learning happens. 💚

We made it through another amazing week of summer camp, and I couldn’t let it pass without giving some love to the incredible ladies who make it all happen!

A huge WELCOME & thank you to Heather M. Münch, our new TimberNook provider, who jumped right in and made it through her very first week of summer camp! You’ve been such a wonderful addition to the TimberNook family, and I’m so excited for all that’s ahead.

And a very special THANK YOU to Gabriella Boudreau, who has been there since the very beginning and has shown up for every single camp! Your dedication and willingness to jump into whatever adventure we have planned means more than you know.

I couldn’t do this without these two amazing ladies. TimberNook is so much more than just one person—it’s the people who show up, get messy, embrace the chaos, and help create these experiences for our kids.

So grateful for you both! 🪵

UPDATE!

Due to multiple requests we have decided to change our fall programming to MONDAYS!

We will begin MONDAY September 14 and run for 8 weeks!!

Day 1 is in the books! 🌿

We welcomed so many returning campers and lots of new faces as we kicked off an incredible week in the woods. Fort building is officially underway, friendships are forming, and the imagination is already running wild.

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
