Registration for Fall 2020 has opened! There are some AAS courses offer this semester including an Intro to Asian American Studies course taught by a new post-doc professor, Vivian Truong. VASAM was part of the hiring process, so we can attest that she is super cool 😍Also, we've included some info for the AAS correlate at Vassar. The perk of an empty correlate is that it's really easy to fulfill lol... but tenure lines have been in the works, so hopefully Vassar will offer consistently from now on. As for our bigger goal of strengthening Ethnic Studies, please look into courses offered on Native American Studies, Latinx Studies, and Africana Studies+ because your class choices help ensure that these historically excluded disciplines remain at Vassar. Not to mention, these classes are really amazing!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of pre-registration! Show solidarity in the fight for Critical Ethnic Studies!
The future of Asian American Studies at Vassar depends upon “demonstrated student interest.” We need bodies in these classes! Pre-register now!
Vassar as an institution has repeatedly signaled to us that Asian American Studies does not deserve a permanent place here, but we want to prove them wrong. Help us achieve ethnic justice by pre-registering for these classes!
Without student interest, Vassar won’t provide more Asian American Studies course!
