Representation matters. First time ever seeing a woman pilot 👩‍✈️ If you grew up with people in impressive positions always looking like you- you are likely to assume that you have the ability to achieve the same. That is what privilege looks like. Privilege is the simple fact that your race, gender, socioeconomic status etc. alone will not stop you from being able to achieve something. As a woman- this was the first time I have ever seen a woman flying the plane I was on. The power of this for my 7 year old daughter could be life changing.

😥 What is happening in America is wrong. Calling people “illegal aliens” is just an oppressive strategy to divide us. America wake up and see that this administration is not only destroying our country- but our humanity.

Feeling this one today….

Losing the ability to find words for all oppressive and hateful movements happening in America. An administration motivated by taking away peoples rights, fueled by open racism, sexism and hate for groups of people is destroying any progress towards the dream of “freedom and justice for all”. This is a sad and scary time for our country.
