As I’m sure a lot of you have heard I was disqualified from the CUSA President position this evening. Tonight I also resigned from my position as class of 2019 senator. I refuse to participate in a body that is so extremely corrupt. I first want to thank all the people that showed up and supported me through the extremely long meeting. During my two and a half years on senate I don’t remember a time that we’ve had so many people in attendance and it was incredible. I know there is a lot of really strong emotions about the outcome of the CUSA Senate meeting. I ask that everyone please remain respectful of Clarkson property and the CUSA senate members. The members of the CUSA senate are members of our Clarkson community and deserve to be treated with respect. Furthermore, I ask all of those looking to gather on campus to please review the Undergraduate Regulations before hosting any events. We have run a clean and respectful campaign this far and I would like to continue this beyond the elections. Again, thank you for your support!

When I decided to run two months ago I didn't realize how much support I would receive. I want to thank everyone who supported me! From people I didn't know to people that talked me up when I had doubts, thank you! I'm excited to serve as your next CUSA President! I'm looking forward to a great year!

There are some rumors going around that I'd like to dispell:

I'm not "anti-greek life". I've had numerous people approach me about this topic. Though I am not in Greek life, I have never hindered nor do I plan to hinder Greek life in anyway. Greeks do alot for the Clarkson community!

Again, I'm big on data and the survey results from the campus wide assessment last semester show Greek life is extremely important to Clarkson and the last thing I would want to do is hinder that in any way.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to announce that I am running for CUSA President. My platform is below:

I’m running to be your voice at Clarkson. As your CUSA President I will make it my first and utmost priority to ensure that there is action behind your voice. I’ve been a senator representing the Class of 2019 for three years. I have experience in every area CUSA touches through my committee involvement and other campus activities. Please check out my website https://erinforcusapresident.weebly.com for more info about me and my full campus involvement.

I want to work with the CUSA senators to better connect with their class through events. When class officers were eliminated there was a discussion about class senators taking their role, but not much action. I am working to recreate the activities committee that would be dedicated to putting on events that will not only be enjoyable for students, but also provide a place for senators to better connect with their class. When senators have a pulse on their class' wants and needs the class can be better represented within CUSA senate and in turn be better represented to administration.

The best way to communicate ideas and make things happen at Clarkson is through data. Currently, CUSA has a large survey that is conducted in the beginning of the fall semester, however, this is the only consistent data collected by CUSA. I believe continuous data would help identify what Clarkson is doing well and maybe not so well. Especially when communicating with administration having hard data to back up ideas is extremely important.

I have been an RA here for almost two years. During my time as an RA I have had the opportunity to work with many departments and have a good professional relationship with those offices. These relationships will provide a solid foundation when advocating on behalf of the student body.

I'm fully prepared to effectively communicate the wants and needs of the Clarkson Community.

Reach out to me at [email protected], on Facebook, or when you see me around campus if you have any ideas, questions, or concerns. I look forward to representing you at Clarkson.
