We are members of the International Combat Hapkido Federation and Independent Taekwondo Association. Self Defense America - Potsdam is a martial arts school offering training in Combat Hapkido and Taekwondo for both adults and youth. We have a beautiful school with a matted floor and lots of safety gear. Our instructors are experienced and certified to teach these arts. He has been involved in the
martial arts for many years and is very well respected across the nation. He trained under Grandmaster Sam Kim for many years and was a school owner/operator for Taekwondo schools in Dekalb and Potsdam in the early 1990s. In the early 1990s, he expanded his training into Combat Hapkido under Grandmaster (and founder) John Pellegrini of of the International Combat Hapkido Federation. Eventually Grandmaster Gray moved his Taekwondo program to the Independent Taekwondo Association (ITA) under GM Pellegrini as well. Over the years, we have maintained our Combat Hapkido and Taekwondo programs over various sites, including Potsdam and Winthrop (as Adirondack Martial Arts), and now again in Potsdam. We offer training and belt testing in Combat Hapkido (under the ICHF) and Taekwondo (under the ITA).
