Good news: Doing camp dishes is a 5 minute job! We use two collapsible sinks from Sea to Summit - one for washing and one for rinsing, plus a drip or two of Campsuds. Scrub, rinse, dump, done.

Mount Monadnock tends to entice non-hikers onto its wilderness trails with the allure of 360-degree views and fun rock scrambles to the summit.

And despite its reputation as one of the most popular mountain climbs in the world, hiking Mount Monadnock is not exactly easy. It does, however, offer incredible views after only two miles of huffing and puffing.

Hiking Mount Monadnock, the most prominent peak in southern New Hampshire at 3,165 feet, is a community event, even if you arrive at the trailhead solo, as I did in the early morning hours — reservation secured, lunch packed, and limbs stretched.

I hiked up White Dot and down White Cross, which the ranger recommended as the easiest ascent and descent. It was hard, but totally doable!

There are endless acres of vineyards, beautiful working farms, and panoramic views in every direction. We explored six wineries in Destination Caldwell and loved every minute of it! Have you been to this beautiful wine region in Idaho?
