โ˜‘๏ธThe session will cover strategies for producing authentic, impactful content while navigating representation, visibility, and algorithm-driven platforms. It will also address mindful content consumptionโ€”how to critically engage with media, protect mental well-being, and support narratives that reflect and uplift Black voices.

โŒโŒ Law Enforcement: It Can't Change Without You โŒโŒ

โžก๏ธ Featured Workshop at the 12th Annual Black Student Success Summit โฌ…๏ธ

โžก๏ธApril 18th, 2026 Portland State University โฌ…๏ธ

โ€ผ๏ธ This is a MUST SEE event โ€ผ๏ธ

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธThis session challenges the belief that law enforcement โ€œcanโ€™t changeโ€ by offering an honest, lived perspective from within the profession.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธAs a Black woman and active police officer, Rashida Saunders explores the tension between community trust, personal identity, and the realities of the job.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธStudents will be invited to think critically about accountability, humanity, and what meaningful change actually requires.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธThis is not a surface-level conversation. It is an honest one. Grounded in experience, growth, and the courage to ask better questions about justice, leadership, and community.

๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค FEATURED WORKSHOP ๐Ÿ–ค 12th ANNUAL BSSS ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค

โœ…My Identity Ain't Yours To Define!

โœ… Everyone has a label for you. Your parents, your teachers, the "algorithm," and "the powers that be". They think they know your story, but theyโ€™re reading the wrong book. "My Identity Ainโ€™t Yours to Define" is a high-energy, creative takeover where we use music, visual art, and theatrics to rip up the script and write a new one. This isn't just a workshop; itโ€™s an artistic exploration of who you actually are as we dive into the importance of cultural identity and how we resist erasure of ourselves and our communities.
