Meet our teachers!

Lastly, Miss Reese!

Reese’s dance journey started at just five years old and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. After years of competing and training in jazz, acro, lyrical, and contemporary, along with a foundation in ballet, tap, and hip hop, she brings her love for dance into every class she teaches.

This is Reese’s second year at OBPAC, and her first year was one to remember! She helped bring home a National Championship, making for an incredible first season with the studio. She’s so excited to continue growing, creating, and celebrating the dancers she gets to work with this year!

As Studio Manager, Reese is excited to be a part of the studio both inside and outside of the classroom. This season, she will be teaching Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, and Acro, as well as choreographing and working with our competition dancers on solos, duets, and group routines.

We can’t see everyone tomorrow at the open house!

Some kids need a place that meets them exactly where they are.
Dance is uniquely good at that.

It builds motor skills, coordination, and body awareness.
It gives structure and clear goals.
It offers an outlet for energy and emotion.
And it surrounds kids with peers and coaches who cheer them on.
Whether your child is high-energy, quiet, athletic, creative, or still figuring it out - there’s a place for them at Opera Block.

Beginners and experienced dancers and every kid in between.

We’re the 2026 National Champions because we invest in real results- technical precision and personal growth.

New season schedule is live. Register on our website or free mobile app- available on both app stores.

Come find a supportive community and a place to belong.

Meet Our Teachers!

Next is Miss Hannah

Miss Hannah started dancing at 3 years old. The entirety of her dance career (16 years) was spent doing tap dance; however, she did jazz and hip hop as well.

Outside of the dance studio Miss Hannah is a first grade teacher. She is currently pursing her masters in special education and loves bringing inclusion to the classroom and dance studio.

This will be Miss Hannah’s 4th season with OBPAC. She will continue to teach tap but is adding mini movers and all new inclusive class to her schedule.

Miss Hannah loves teaching dance and being a safe space for kids to go to after a long day at school.

Come meet Miss Hannah on Thursday!

Boys dance... And they thrive.

Dance builds the exact things parents want for their sons: strength, power, coordination, focus, discipline, and real confidence. It develops the same athletic tools used by football players, basketball stars, and Olympic athletes.

Our studio is a place where boys (and all kids) are celebrated for working hard, supporting teammates, and expressing themselves.

No stereotypes. No pressure to fit a mold. Just excellent training and a supportive team.

Award-winning National Champion dancers! That’s what’s possible when kids feel welcome and get great coaching.

New season schedule is posted on our website or our free mobile app (in both app stores)

Boys are not just welcome — they belong here.

Meet Our Teachers!

First up is Miss Zoe!

Miss Zoe started dancing in high school, but has been involved in musical theatre since age 6. She has a minor in Dance from CMU where she studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip-Hop, as well as choreography and the history of dance across many cultures. Her favorite styles are contemporary, ballet, tap, and musical theatre.

This will be Miss Zoe’s 2nd year teaching recreation and competition classes. She has also been teaching the competition team all summer, working hard on skills, technique, and conditioning.

She will be teaching Kinder Jazz, Kinder Ballet, Musical Theatre, Hip-hop, 2 competition solos, and 1 competition duet.

Miss Zoe loves to share her passion for dance with the newest generation of dancers and setting them up for success no matter what they grow up to do.

Come meet Miss Zoe on Thursday at our Open House!

Did you know some of the best athletes in the world train in dance?

NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann credited ballet, tap, and jazz for the body control and balance that made his Super Bowl catches legendary.

Detroit Lions star Aidan Hutchinson competed in hip-hop and ballet as a kid - and still credits it for his elite spin moves, flexibility, and balance on the field.

Kobe Bryant used tap dancing to rebuild rhythm after an ankle injury. Tennis stars like Serena Williams and Emma Raducanu trained in ballet for the same reasons.

Dance builds:
• Superior balance & body control
• Agility and explosive power
• Core strength and flexibility
• Injury resilience and rhythm

It’s not “just for dancers.” It’s elite athletic training that also teaches teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

At Opera Block, every student gets that same foundation - whether they’re aiming for the stage, the field, or just a stronger, more confident version of themselves.

New season is open. Schedule is live. Classes are small - On purpose. Come see why.

Kids need more than just free time.
They need a place to belong. A place to move, create, sweat, laugh, and find their people.

At Opera Block Performing Arts Center, that’s exactly what we offer.
Dance teaches teamwork, athleticism, focus, and control - while giving kids a powerful outlet to express themselves.

They walk in as individuals and leave with friends, confidence, and a second family who cheers them on.

We’re the 2026 SOAR! National Champions, and one of those champions was a first-year competition dancer. That’s what great coaching + a supportive environment can do.

New season schedule is live on the website: https://www.operablockperformingarts.com/performing-arts-classes/

Spots are filling - give your child a place to shine and belong.
