Australia Awards Scholarships: Applications open 1 September 2015.

The Australia Awards Scholarships is pleased to advise that the next call for applications for Australia Awards Fellowships, for study in 2016, opens on 1 September 2015. Two types of Awards Scholarships are being offered:

• Masters-level study, in 2017, at an Australian University in the focus sector of Mining/extractives; Agriculture/Fisheries; Public policy/governance/trade. Applications close 30 November 2015.

• Africa Short Course Awards, for study in 2016, offer professional development short courses covering: Mineral and energy economics; Managing mine closure; Ocean governance; Agribusiness; Increasing the development impact of agricultural research; Public private partnerships in infrastructure; and Trade policy and negotiations. Courses will be delivered in both Africa and Australia. Applications for the scholarships will close on 18 December 2015.

The scholarships are aimed at high calibre, early to mid-career professionals from the public and private sectors as well as civil society. On return, these individuals will help lead and accelerate sustainable economic development in Ghana.

The application process is open and competitive, providing equal opportunity regardless of gender, ethnicity or disability. Applications for Australia Awards Scholarships are now open!!

Candidates from Ghana who wish to study in the priority sectors of mining, agriculture/fisheries, or public policy may apply for the following scholarship opportunities:
• Australia Awards Africa Fellowships (for study in 2015): professional development short courses delivered in both Africa and Australia (applications close 16 January 2015)
• Australia Awards Scholarships (for study in 2016): Masters-level study at an Australian University (applications close 12 December 2014)
Applications are competitive. The Australian Government strongly encourages applications from women. Mechanisms are also in place to support the participation of people with disability.
We aim to attracting high calibre, early to mid-career professionals from the public and private sectors as well as civil society who have the potential to lead and support development in your country.
