Training and inspiring American Legion Family members throughout Wisconsin to help their local Posts better serve veterans, their families, and the community.

The core curriculum includes the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Courses. Each course lasts 7 - 7 1/2 hours face-to-face (with lunch) or 6 hours virtually covered over two 3-hour sessions on consecutive days. Completing these 3 courses, along with the National Basic Training Course, entitles the Legion Family member to receive a diploma as a WI Legion College graduate. Other supplemental courses

Advanced Course
May 20-21 (6-9PM Central Time), or May 30-31 (9AM to Noon Central Time)
If you have completed the Basic Course, complete these two courses to earn your WI Legion College pin. If you have not taken the Basic Course, but want to begin your College journey now, the Dean of the College has given permission for Legion Family members to take these courses now and complete their College requirements during the Fall semester.

This won’t take you 7 years – you can do it in 3 months! Hello, WI Legion Family! Virtual Training Springtime 2026 kicks off Saturday February 28 until Apr 4. Clear your calendars and take advantage of these great courses. Enrollment fee for each course is a mere $5. Take the Basic Course, and you are on your way to earning the Wisconsin American Legion College Graduate pin. The Intermediate Course follows in April; the Advanced Course in May. Fee for the Intermediate and Advanced Courses will be $15 each. All Legion Family members are welcome to attend all courses. Just one week before the first Basic Course begins! It's not too late to sign up. The first class is Sep 6-7 from 9AM to Noon. The second is Sep 17-18 from 6-9PM. The Basic Course covers a number of topics - Americanism and Children and Youth programs, public relations, leadership, Legion legislative program and priorities, and the entire Officers Guide and Manual of Ceremonies. Your Wisconsin American Legion College returns with a slate of Fall courses that will lead to you earning the WI Legion College graduate pin - and become a more effective leader and member in our Legion Family.
