WHY VIP WEDNESDAY: Having navigated the ebbs and flows of the industry for decades, we saw the most dramatic shift during the COVID era. As the game boomed, a surge of new golf schools popped up to capitalize on the growing demand. However, most of these newer operations act as “brokers.” They operate as a middleman between the golfer and the golf course, oftentimes having zero relationship with local courses, pros, or legitimate golf schools, simply calling around to schedule you with whichever instructor happens to be available on your requested date.

WHY VIP WEDNESDAY: Our golf school program is the absolute best for many reasons.
1. MENTAL: 6 hours is not too long or too short, our sports psychologists feel that the 5 to 6 hour day allows for intensive instruction and allows the brain to not lose focus.
2. PHYSICAL: In testing our program we found the body to be able to withstand the 5 to 6 hour day with not much effort regardless of physical condition. However, once we go beyond that point our bodies will fatigue which makes you fall into bad habits and old swing easily.
3. RETENTION: The most important part of the golf school is retaining the information, and being able to take it home with you and perform it on the golf course. Too much coaching and information overload” is something most golf schools excel at. We do not participate in this behavior and coach our clients with simple, athletic, and relatable terms and moves that are easily understood. We do not need all day to do that! Too much will result in diminishing returns. We have seen it time and time again.

WHY VIP WEDNESDAY: A lot of our competitors emphasize daily on-course play. At first glance, this could seem like a benefit. However, two hours of instruction in the morning, then hopping on the course after lunch, runs the risk of the golfer falling right back into old habits. At VIP, we encourage you to trust and rely on your Teaching Professional to do what they get paid to do: teach you! If this means you need to drill on the range for a while, it is encouraged that you trust this is what is necessary to improve your game. You’re paying for individualized instruction with a TOP PGA or LPGA Professional. Utilize that valuable time getting the necessary information and doing the work they recommend! They will know when you are ready to take it to the course.
