Mr. Fiedler's Fifth Grade 25-26

Hi! Here's today's newsletter:

Friday afternoon's Field Day was a blast! Our kids competed in jumping contests, relay races, 50 yard dashes, and a ton of other fun games. Thanks, Mr. Fuller and Mrs. Coleman, for making it such a memorable day!

Friday morning's field trip on the Huron Lady II was an awesome experience for our fifth grade Comets! On our way up the river, the kids learned about invasive sea lamprey, and even got to touch one. Once we sailed under the Blue Water Bridges and reached the mouth of the St. Clair River, we met up with biologists who had caught and tagged live adult sturgeon, including a six footer! On the way back to the dock on the Black River, our class moved downstairs to conduct experiments and test our water quality.

A huge thank you goes to the Friends of the St. Clair River for providing our kids with this opportunity!

Our Safety Patrol had a great time celebrating their year of service at the Tiger's game on Thursday. Thank you, Arya, Julien, Ellie, Vivienne, Dean, Alex, and Stella, for all of your hard work this year!

We were lucky to have some beautiful weather for recess last week!
